This toolkit was developed for health care organizations who work in the Alaska Tribal healthcare system, who
1) are paving the way to destigmatizing Addiction Care with Indigenous Peoples and
2) weave a love based, not shamed based lens into the care and relationships with the people they serve.
The hope for this material is to create understanding about the impact that addiction has on countless people, their families, communities, and society we live in. While the intention of this toolkit is to build awareness and decrease stigma, it also acknowledges that continued healing of Indigenous Peoples comes in countless forms, including uplifting existing programs and communities.
