In Alaska Native communities, the transition from youth to adulthood is marked by taking on increased responsibilities, such as decision making around your own sexual health. As we close out this series, keep these things in mind: ๐ŸŒž You have the power to set your own goals and your own personal boundaries. ๐ŸŒž Communication is important in any relationship, including your relationship with family and friends. ๐ŸŒž You can set your personal rules when it comes to sex. You can get tested for pregnancy, HIV, and STIs. You can access birth control. Have sex when you are ready. ๐ŸŒž Being intimate with someone creates an emotional and physical connection. ๐ŸŒž When having sex, consent is required from everyone. As you set out to reach for the stars, remember to trust your gut, and that you are the expert of yourself.โค
